Sonar 2010 Music Festival Overview

Have you heard about the big music fete “Barcelona Sonar 2010” ? This festival was celebrated last weekend in several zones of the city . Every year Sonar is one of the biggest and superlative music festivals of Catalonia . The Sonar lasted 3 consecutive days and emphasized techno music. If you are looking for techno, house, hip-hop, electro or drum & base , Sonar 2010 in Barcelona is the festival to check out !

Sonar has been splitted into Sonar by Day and Sonar by Night. During the day plan there were exhibitions, concerts and alternative showcases. The program of Sonar by night was a big party with a massive assistance in several night clubs . I truly enjoyed the performance of Michael Mayer, Superpitcher, Gui Boratto, DJ Koze, DJ Fra and VJ Okinawa 69 at Apolo Club on Friday June 19 ! The atmosphere was great ! Did you miss it? Sonar by Day

Specially the end day of Barcelona Sonar 2010 had many highlights. During the Sonar by Day you could enjoy beautiful concerts of The Slew, Marco Mass, the Canadian duo La Chambre, Funkforword, Wooky and more artists. They did not play in Barcelona since 1980 , but also Dizz Racal (who won the Brit Awards for the best British singer) delighted the public with a wonderful song “Tongue N Cheek” to hear. Apart from these artists, you could enjoy many more artists during the nights of the Sonar Club . All musci lovers could see Angel Molina, DJ’s in the Sandwell District label and Caspa rocking Barcelona.

SonarLab

SonarLab blasted her speaker with the hip-hop music by Lucky Me followed by Pinker Tones, who presented a new disc . The evening concluded with an unforgettable session from Friffie and DJ2D.

When I was younger, I though vibrato is a tremor, but rather nuance in pitch that almost pulsates. Although not all the time, vibrato is can be found in older voices too.

The sense of emotion comes from the variation in the pitch when vibrato is present. Of course, you will not always want vibrato, and this is fine. Vibrato can be encouraged and discouraged since it is controlled by breathing. When managed correctly, it can add an interesting quality to any song.

Chest Voice and Head Voice

When you take vocal training lessons, you will also learn about vocal registers, also referred to as “chest voice” and “head voice”. Register recognizes that a particular section of the vocal folds will create a vocal quality. This is another somewhat elusive concept, but one that is used frequently by singers.

The two main types of registers are the chest voice and the head voice–but don’t get confused by the term “chest voice”. It really means a tone quality or timbre that resonates in the throat or sternum. The chest voice has a heavier sound and it is produced by vocal cords that tends to be thicker and vibrate slower.

The head voice, on the other hand, is a tone quality with a lighter timbre that seems to emanate more from the head. There is no feeling in the chest when this sound is made. A head voice is clear and carries a greater distance than a chest voice. It is produced by thinner vocal cords that vibrate rapidly.

The balance of the chest voice and the head voice is what they call an Even voice. In order for the voice to not get strained trying to hold in one register, it is important to blend the registers evenly. With lessons, you can learn to smoothly transition between registers with a break.
