Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

If you are a transformers fan, then you probably knew this movie was coming out, if you’re not, well you probably should have known that it was coming out anyway. This is one movie that has people adamantly either love or hate, which makes it perfect to rent or even buy. This is because you won’t feel as jipped if you hate and if you love it, well you got to see it and love it for cheap. This movie is the second in the transformers series and while the special effects are just as good, the plot leaves much to be desired. But check it out because it is a good movie in it’s own right.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles (Those Aren’t Pillows Edition)

One of the best comedies ever written gets the special edition treatment. This version comes with the full movie (watching it on TV or with most dvds will have some scenes cut out) as well as some fun bonus features. The special features include: A Tribute to John Candy, The Story of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and John Hughes for Adults. While it may not come packed with everything you would expect from a Special Edition it is a great addition to your collection and a great version to buy if you have yet to add this movie to your collection.

Blood: The Last Vampire

This action packed gory flick comes to you from the producer of Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. This movie is based loosely on the anime of the same name and tells the story of Saya. Saya works for the Council, a secret organization that works to kill all of the vampires. Saya is soon sent to an American military base where it seems that people have been dying from vampires, while there it seems that Saya is on the trail for the most powerful vampire of all. This movie is action packed and great for anyone who is into kung-fu or anime but otherwise you might start to notice that the plot is a little thin and a tad confusing.

The Tournament

With as much time as this movie spend in production you would expect to have something truly great. Well it might not measure up to classic standards but it is a high energy, action packed bloodfest that should appease any fan. Following the tradition set by Battle Royale this movie features a world where once every seven years, 30 of the world’s top assassins compete to be the last one standing. The entire city in their battleground and the high stakes gamblers watch from closed circuit TV. If you really want to see something filled with action and gore, this is the movie for you.
