The Proposal

This movie starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in which Sandra Bullock claims that they two are getting married so that she can have U.S. citizenship and not be deported to Canada. The only problem is that the two have never gotten along and when he brings her home to his family, she starts to have the one thing she has always wanted. This may have been a chick flick but it was a great chick flick, with comedy and fun and of course all the sap that makes a good chick flick. Grab a few girlfriends or may be even that special someone and grab this movie, you won’t regret

Drag Me to Hell

It is hard to be a fan of horror when the scares and the plotlines continue to be recycled just at the excuse of creating more gore. The movie tells about a loan officer who gets cursed by a gypsy for refusing to extend her home loan. Never mind the fact that she cannot be a gypsy if she owns her own home (goes against the whole traveling thing) but this gypsy curses the poor woman with being tormented by a demon before being dragged to Hell. The movie is filled with gore and shocking moments that are typical of this Evil Dead director, this is definitely not a movie for the squeamish. It may be one of the highest rated horrors on RottenTomatoes but this one is just a bit much for me.

Land of the Lost

You probably remember the previews for this one and more than likely decided not to see it in theaters. Well now is not the time to second guess your judgment and decide to rent it. The movie is not for kids, or at least not as much as its television inspiration was and it definitely does not flow very well. It seems like this movie was just an excuse to put together a bunch of random sketches that may or may not fit together as a story. You may feel like you’re watching a themed and poorly done Saturday Night Live episode by the end of it.

Every Little Step

This movie is probably one you have not heard of but it has been gaining plenty of attention at film festivals. It is perfect if you like musicals and Broadway as this documentary shows you behind the scenes of what it is like to perform in these iconic shows. You’ll get to get the background on the making of A Chorus Line both back in 1974 when it was first written and performed and for the 2005 revival. See how the changing world has changed how the show is created and performed from start to finish. This is a very well done and revealing documentary, and a must see for fans of the musical genre.
