Chris Hemsworth is worried there may be a catch with his Hollywood career.

The Rush star has shared his personal phobias in Details magazine, where he was open about what he is scared of career wise.

The Australian actor was a household name in his native Australia when he played Kim Hyde on TV series Home and Away up until 2007, but his Hollywood career took longer to launch.

“The biggest thing is, you worry about being boring. No, no, no. The fear is: ‘Why did it happen so quickly?’ Then you go, ‘What’s the catch?’ Or, ‘Am I gonna be found out? Am I any good?’

“The preparation is something I do obsessively, because the fear of being caught out is the worst for me. You spend so long having your hand up, saying, ‘C’mon, c’mon—pick me!’ there’s a fear of saying no to things. It’s bred into you,” he explained.

He’s also confessed to being pickier with the roles he takes, and says his new found A-list status means he has more control over his projects.

Fears that work could dry up also forced the 30-year-old actor to work flat out over the last few years, but he has said now’s the right time to take a break with his wife Elsa avd their daughter India Rose.

“There’s a brief pay out, and then the bar shifts again. I think that’s human nature. It keeps you moving forward, but it needs to be tempered a bit, too.

“I’ve been working solidly for a couple of years now, to the point where I have to slow down and spend some time with my family,” he said.

Natalie Portman has revealed she isn’t a film snob.

The 32-year-old actress, who won the best actress Oscar for her performance in Darren Aronofsky‘s Black Swan, told US Marie Claire that she doesn’t just pick worthy roles, and that she appreciates all types of entertainment.

“I grew up around a lot of snobbism about what was important and what was serious, and I really reject that,” she said.

Natalie has reprised her role as Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World, alongside Chris Hemsworth as the Greek god.

“Chris is, like, one of the greatest people in Hollywood. He’s the kind of actor who’s so charismatic, he must be tired when he goes home,” she said.

The mother-of-one – who graces the cover of the magazine in a Dior Haute Couture cut-out dress – also revealed she will be moving to Paris at the end of 2014, after her French husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, was named director of the Paris Opera Ballet.

“I’m really lucky. When Ben asked me if I wanted to go to Paris, I freaked. Everyone dreams of living in Paris,” she said.

But she admitted she will miss California: “I just really, really love it here. It’s one of the most exciting places to be in the world right now. It’s really central in terms of the arts.

“It feels like things are happening in LA, you know? New York is more where art is bought than where art is made.”

Actress Cush Jumbo, whose screen roles have included TV’s Torchwood and The Inbetweeners Movie, was honoured for the best play performance at the UK Theatre Awards.

The 28-year-old took the prize for her performance of Nora in Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

Seasoned star Sian Phillips, aged 80, was rewarded for the best supporting role at the event – which celebrates regional productions throughout the UK – for her work at Sheffield’s Crucible Studio Theatre in This Is My Family, which was also named best musical.

Another Crucible production won best play with Bull by Mike Bartlett, a 55-minute performance based around three employees who are waiting to learn which of them has been axed by their boss

A fourth Sheffield Theatre Productions work, The Full Monty, was named best touring production.

Janie Dee was honoured for her best performance in a musical for Hello, Dolly!, while Simon Callow collected the prize for his outstanding contribution to British theatre, which had been announced prior to today’s ceremony at the Guildhall in London.

Julian Bird, chief executive of the Theatrical Management Association and the Society of London Theatre, said: “It has been a year of great achievement for theatre throughout the length and breadth of the UK, as demonstrated by the range of nominations celebrating skill and variety, both on and off stage.”

Ben Foster has been confirmed to play Lance Armstrong alongside Chris O’Dowd as the journalist who helped expose the doping scandal in a new Stephen Frears film, according to reports.

Bridesmaids star Chris will play journalist David Walsh in the movie, from the British filmmaker behind The Queen, Deadline said.

US actor Ben, who starred in Western 3:10 To Yuma and TV show Six Feet Under, was previously tipped to star in the Working Title movie about the disgraced Tour de France champion.

Now he’s been confirmed, alongside French actor Guillaume Canet and Breaking Bad‘s Jesse Plemons in supporting roles, Deadline said.

The film is based on sportswriter David Walsh’s book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit Of Lance Armstrong.

It covers Lance’s rise to success as a cyclist, his battle with testicular cancer and the performance-enhancing drugs scandal that led to his downfall.

Warner Bros has a rival film about the cyclist in the works.

Michael Bay has been attacked and slightly injured on the set of the fourth instalment of the Transformers movie series filming in Hong Kong, police said.

A police spokeswoman said two brothers surnamed Mak who own a shop near the movie set approached Bay and demanded 100,000 Hong Kong dollars (£8,000).

When the Hollywood director refused to pay, they assaulted him, she said. The brothers also allegedly assaulted three police officers who were called to the set.

The spokeswoman said Bay suffered a minor injury to his face but declined medical treatment. She spoke on customary condition of anonymity.

Mak Chi-shing, 27, and Mak Chi-hang, 28, were arrested. They appeared in court today (October 18), each charged with blackmail and assaulting a police officer. No plea was made and they were remanded in custody until next month.

paramount Pictures gave a somewhat different account of the incident, which it said occurred on the film’s first day of production in Hong Kong after months of filming on US locations.

It said in a statement that a man rushed onto the set wielding an air conditioning unit and swung it at Bay’s head. It said Bay ducked and wrestled the air conditioning unit away from the man.

Police arrested the man and two companions, and no one on the set was injured, paramount said.

On his own website, Bay said “drugged up” assailants had been belligerent toward the film crew and one rolled metal carts toward actors on the set while trying to “shake us down.” His statement said security subdued one man and that four were arrested for assaulting officers who responded.

Non-violent attempts at extortion involving location filming have been an occasional problem in Hollywood over the years, where residents would intentionally disrupt filming by making noise or other means in an effort to prompt a pay-off. In recent years, studios have been more diligent with compensation to residents in neighbourhoods where location shooting is occurring.

Bay has directed the three previous Transformers films, in addition to such action flicks as Bad Boys and Armageddon.

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is partly set in Hong Kong. It stars Mark Wahlberg and is to be released next June.

Daniel Radcliffe was the darling of the red carpet at the London Film Festival with the premiere of Kill Your Darlings.

The Harry Potter star plays poet Allen Ginsberg in the film about a 1944 murder that draws him together with Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

Kill Your Darlings was shot in just 24 days in New York and threw the actors into the intensity of the real-life story immediately.

Daniel said: “The fact that this story is so fascinating and is so largely untold, it seemed amazing to me so it was very exciting that we would get to shed light on that part of history.”

He added that he had become good friends with the other actors he had worked with.

“We didn’t have any trailers on this movie and I think that was only beneficial because it meant that we all hung out and got to know each other really well.

“I think when you’re shooting a film that’s this intense in a period that short, you do get to know each other pretty well. It’s lovely being back with everyone tonight, it’s such a great group.”

Jack Huston, who plays Kerouac, and Dane Dehaan, who plays Lucien Carr, were also at the Leicester Square premiere and greeted fans with Daniel after posing for photos as a group.

Dehaan said of working with Radcliffe: “It was a passion project for everyone and everyone was there for all the right reasons. We all bonded for sure. Dan is a real actor and he became a great friend.”

The drama also stars Elizabeth Olsen and Dexter’s Michael C Hall.

Kill Your Darlings is released in cinemas on December 6.

Jennifer Garner was pleased her director didn’t want her to look pretty.

She was also more than happy when director Jean-Marc Vallée told her she wasn’t going to look pretty in her new movie Dallas Buyers Club.

Playing Dr. Eve Saks, the movie co-stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto and tells the story of a Texan electrician and his battle with the medical establishment after being diagnosed as HIV-positive.

“I am not someone who is driven by vanity. Even in ways that I should be. I’m not very good at the whole vanity thing. But I did love that [director] Jean-Marc Vallée came to me and said, ‘I don’t want you to look pretty.’

“He almost didn’t give me the job because he just assumed, and I said, ‘I don’t care. Never touch my face with makeup. I don’t care.’ And he didn’t. I never sat in the makeup chair,” 41-year-old Jennifer told People magazine.

Set in the 1980s, the clothes had to look authentic for the decade without being glamorous vintage pieces.

Jennifer was also in the middle of breast-feeding her young son Samuel when the movie was shot. Samuel, one, is the youngest of three children between Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck. They also have Violet, seven, and four-year-old Seraphina.

“The clothes were from Goodwill. It’s not like they were from a fancy vintage store or made to look vintage. They were straight up Goodwill, and I had this little baby.

“So, when I was in costume fittings, it was about, like, ‘How can I get to my boobs?’ And so I just could have cared less. It was great for me,” she admitted.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has revealed years of experience made directing himself in a full-length film easy.

The Dark Knight Rises star made his debut as a director with Don Jon, which he also wrote and stars as a porn-addicted lothario in. The comedy-drama premiered in the UK at the BFI London Film Festival.

“I really got used to directing myself, making little short films and videos and I’ve made, without exaggeration, hundreds of them over the years,” the 32-year-old said on the red carpet.

“I love taking the video camera, putting the footage on the computer, cutting it up, scoring it, seeing what you get. You can learn a lot.”

He’s proud that the film is a conversation starter, adding: “It feels great to see what people make out of it. It’s supposed to start conversations and it’s going to be a movie people have disagreements over.

“It’s going to reach out and grab you and make you want to talk about it. I enjoy that. To me, the whole point of making a movie is to get people talking.”

Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore also star in Don Jon, which will be released in UK cinemas on November 15.

“I had Scarlett in mind the entire time, writing her part. And Julianne, honest to God, was my first choice. I was astonished and delighted that both of them really responded to the writing and hopped on,” he said.

Joseph also said it is “fun” to write the Don Jon Twitter account.

“I exclusively write the Don Jon Twitter account. It’s been really fun because normally you play a character and it ends there, but since I wrote this, I felt I had the licence to continue his life. It’s like a prequel to the movie.”

Kate Winslet says her mind is preoccupied with her pregnancy, and not awards.

The 38-year-old actress was in London tonight for the premier of her new movie Labor Day.

She has previously scooped an Oscar for her portrayal of a Nazi war criminal in the 2008 film The Reader.

“It hasn’t even crossed my mind, I’m so absorbed in baby. Awards season is always a huge amount of fun whether you’re a part of it or not.

“It’s always really exciting seeing what films are coming and a lot of new talent as well. I think this year is a really exciting year for film,” she told Sky News.

Labor Day tells the story of depressed single mom Adele (played by Kate) and her son Henry after they offer a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited.

Co-starring Josh Brolin and Tobey Maguire, the film has already been well received by critics.

Kate’s third child will be the Revolutionary Road star’s first with her husband Ned Rocknroll, the nephew of Sir Richard Branson.

She has two children from her two former marriages, 12-year-old Mia from her marriage to Jim Threapleton, and Joe, nine from her marriage to Sam Mendes.
