Phishing is a significant threat to millions of Internet users. These attacks lure victims to a website that appears to be operated by a trusted entity, such as a bank, a merchant, or other service.

The website, however, is a deception, a fake, and the site’s fake content is designed to persuade a victim to enter sensitive information, like a password or email address.

“Reports of phishing attacks have been on the rise across the industry and we are taking this action to uncover the identities of the people behind the attack and stop their harmful conduct,” Meta said in a statement late on Monday.

The climate sceptic who recently changed his mind on the issue, spoke previously to ‘Good Morning Britain’ about his experience of making Prince George eat a bug.

Talking to Susana Reid who compared it to the time Bear made former US President Barack Obama munch on a half-eaten salmon on his show ‘Running With Bear Grylls’, he said: “Well I didn’t really mean to, I mean we were doing something for Prince William’s Kings Cup event, we were down there and the royal family were there.

“And it was actually the Duchess of Cambridge’s mother said ‘Would you come and just say hi to Prince George, he’s a big fan of your Netflix adventure interactive show.

“And so we were chatting, and he was down here, and just as we were chatting a stream of ants went across his feet, and him and me looked at them, he looked at me with those amazed wide eyes, and I said, ‘Come on we’ve got to eat one’.

“And he said, ‘Oh really?’ and we ate, and it was a privilege to give the future king his first ant, and his eyes lit up as they do with anyone when they’re out in the wild and they face a few fears and they overcome them, so good for him. What a little hero.”

Ten years after the final Harry Potter film was released, its hard to imagine the main characters portrayed by anyone else.

Throughout eight films Harry, Hermione, Ron and the other young witches and wizards at Hogwarts were brought to life with stellar acting performances, all while growing up in front of our eyes.

During casting one of the most crucial decision was who should play the lead, Harry Potter, with those involved saying it was an incredibly hard choice.

By the time the film came into production the ‘Boy Who Lived’ was already known to JK Rowling’s millions of readers worldwide.

Inevitably, readers had strong opinions on how Harry should translate from page to the big screen.

While Philosopher’s Stone director Chris Columbus had his eye on Daniel Radcliffe from an early stage in the process, his casting wasn’t straight forward.

When screen tests began there were at least six Harrys in contention, while there were only two actors up for the role of Hermione.

One of the favourites for the role of Harry Potter was American actor Liam Aiken, who had worked with Columbus previously on Stepmom (1998).

Rumours that Aiken was being considered were soon leaked and became a bone of contention surrounding the film – as readers were worried about the Americanisation of the series.

Some reports even suggested Aiken had been offered the role until JK Rowling stepped in.

Speaking with the Huffington Post, casting director Janet Hirshenson said the author soon made it clear there was an “only British” rule for all major characters.

Beyond this, there were other obstacles which prevented Aiken from getting the role, one being that he was a year and a half younger than Radcliffe, who eventually got the role.

Hirshenson said: “It was really specific on ages because there were several movies hopefully, so we could not go for a small 13-year-old to play anybody. They had to be at least the proper age of the character.

She even confirmed that there were kids who were rejected because they had the wrong eye colour.

She said: “For Harry, to complicate things, I needed a blue- or green-eyed kid because part of Harry is his green eyes or blue-green, but they couldn’t be brown eyes, so that was another elimination thing.

“We said, ‘Oh, drat! He’s great, but he has brown eyes.’”

The crew eventually made their decision to go with Radcliffe, but by this point the young actor had taken himself out of the running because of how long it took to decide.

But, as they continued searching for other actors, they kept coming back to Radcliffe who had the ‘perfect blend of vulnerability and power’ needed to play Potter.

The wait paid off in the long run, as Radcliffe grew into the character to the point where he is now synonymous with the role.

Aiken went on to play Klaus in A Series of Unfortunate Events and is still in the acting business with other notable roles coming in Mad Men and Law and Order.

But who knows how the Harry Potter films and Aiken’s career could have turned out differently if he had got the Potter gig?

Damon Thomas (2000-2004)

 The KKW Beauty mogul, who admitted to being high on ecstasy when they eloped during a chat with Scott Disick back on her reality show in 2018, claimed in divorce papers he ‘punched’ her, to which he has denied. 

She also accused him of slamming her against a wall and throwing ‘throw her across the room, leaving her bruised and battered.’ Additionally, he reportedly made her quit her job, according to their divorce papers, which were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court back in 2003.

Despite never initially suing Vivid Entertainment to prevent its release, they came to an agreement and settled for a ‘financial arrangement’ the company’s co-chairman told TMZ, at the time. 

While the former couple have rarely spoken about their relationship, Ray J described Kim as ‘the same kind of player’ as him and they they ‘were both cheaters’ on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.

Next, she began seeing Nick Lachey, who stated in 2019 they were never serious. While speaking of their ‘one date together’ to watch The Da Vinci Code in 2006, the ex-husband of Jessica Simpson said calling her an ex of his would be ‘a little bit of a liberal use of the term.’

‘She left about halfway through and went to the restroom and then shockingly there were 25 paparazzi when we left the theater,’ he said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. I ‘think there were other things in play on our little rendezvous.’

 Regardless, he said Kim couldn’t have been ‘a nicer girl’ and they had a ‘great time.’

Toward the end of their relationship, he made the decision as Kim began ‘pushing for marriage’ after seeing younger sister tie the knot with then-husband Lamar Odom, according to RadarOnline.com.

At the time, he reportedly told her that he wants a wife ‘that is a support system to him’ and ‘stay at home mom to his children.’ Knowing her ‘drive and ambition,’ Bush knew she was  ‘just not the right kind of girl for him to marry.’

Kris Humphries (2010)

The aspiring lawyer said she feared that if she left that she would be known forever as the runaway bride and that ‘it will be a huge joke.’

She then confessed that the TV wedding did push her down the aisle as she didn’t want to ‘let everyone down.’

Humphries, evangelical Christian, petitioned for an annulment after Kardashian filed divorce papers because he felt defrauded.

Kanye West (2012-2021) 

In February, Kim filed for divorce after six years of marriage from the father of her four children North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and two-year-old Psalm. 

They had reportedly been living separately for some time and have plans to share legal and physical custody of their youngsters. 

A source also confirmed to DailyMail.com that Kim has filed for divorce. ‘The split is amicable and there is no drama,’ the insider shared. 

The tension reportedly started in July 2020 when he decided to run for President of the United States and ranted he wanted North aborted, but Kim refused. He also called Kim’s mother Kris Jenner ‘Kris Jong Un.’

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint haven’t reprised their roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley for a decade now, but the director of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Chris Columbus, wants to bring the gang back together for one more ride.

Speaking to Variety, Columbus said he would love to work on a movie adaptation of The Cursed Child, a 2016 Harry Potter play that takes place 19 years after the final book in the series ends.

“I would love to direct ‘The Cursed Child,'” Columbus said. “It’s a great play and the kids are actually the right age to play those roles. It’s a small fantasy of mine.”

Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint are all in their early 30s, making them about the right age to play Harry, Ron, and Hermione on the big screen once again for this story. The Cursed Child focuses on Harry and Draco Malfoy’s children, with the original heroes serving as supporting characters. The play was a big hit on Broadway, setting records when it opened in 2018.

Columbus directed 2001’s The Sorcerer’s Stone and 2002’s sequel, The Chamber of Secrets. He also served as producer on Prisoner of Azkaban. David Yates took over directing duties for the final four Harry Potter movies, and also directed the first two Fantastic Beasts movies.

Yates is next helming The Secrets of Dumbledore, the third movie in the Fantastic Beasts spinoff series set to be released next year.

The original play was written by Jack Thorne, along with John Tiffany and Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, though it’s been a conflicting time for Harry Potter fans as J.K. Rowling has become a major proponent of anti-transgender rhetoric.

While it’s unknown if a movie version of The Cursed Child will ever become a reality, Warner Bros. is still working on a potential Harry Potter TV series, and the video game Hogwarts Legacy, which will reportedly allow players to create transgender characters.

As the autumn wind howled outside, a portion of Abilene Christian University’s Brown Library became a place of magic with readers queued up for Cover2Cover, this year featuring a live read through of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”

Taking turns of about 15 minutes each, readers shared sequential portions of the first adventure of the boy wizard, who has a powerful magical pedigree.

Throughout the seven-book series, Harry makes fast friendships, solves mysteries and finds his destiny at the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Fifth time’s the charm

Todd Womble, assistant professor in ACU’s department of language and literature, said Thursday’s event was the fifth Cover2Cover marathon reading, taking inspiration from similar activities at other libraries and universities.

It’s not an attempt to break a record, he said, but give participants a chance to read and enjoy others reading to them.

“(It’s) a chance for us to celebrate literature in a unique way in our library,” Womble said. “It’s also a chance to get various people from around campus involved.”

Readers in the library’s Nancy and Ray Hansen Reading Commons consisted of students, faculty, staff and administrators, from first-year students to deans and department chairs, he said.

Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein,” and Homer’s “The Odyssey” were previous selections, but the “Harry Potter” books have been chosen every other year, Womble said.

The book series is attractive for a number of reasons, he said, from length and readability to the enduring popularity of the series.

“For us to get student engagement, it helps to choose a book students know and love,” Womble said. “‘Harry Potter’ fits that bill more than most.”

Something for everyone

Regal in professorial robes, Paul Roggendorff read a segment in Spanish, words familiar to avid fans — such as Muggle, describing nonmagical persons — percolating up and out to tickle the ears of passersby.

Roggendorff, who teaches Spanish, said he also has read the books in English.

The issue of translation is fascinating, he said, especially when dealing with a magical milieu with so many new, interesting words, practically its own vocabulary.

“Harry Potter” movies are turning 20.

Two decades ago, director Chris Columbus’ “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (which premiered in the U.S. Nov. 16, 2001, six days after bowing in the boy wizard’s homeland of England) introduced film audiences to magical BFFs Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), the heroes of J.K. Rowling’s mega-popular book series. The movie franchise wound up casting a spell, too, with eight hit films based on the novels followed by two recent “Fantastic Beast” spinoff prequels starring Eddie Redmayne as 1920s-era hero and awkward magizoologist Newt Scamander. (A third “Beasts” is slated to arrive in April of next year.)

10. ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ (2002)

This isn’t dead last because house-elf Dobby is the Jar Jar Binks of the “Potter”-verse. (He doesn’t help, though.) The underwhelming second installment unleashes a monstrous Basilisk on the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but other than bringing in family members of the antagonistic Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), it doesn’t do a whole lot for the overall saga.

9. ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grendelwald’ (2018)

Due to off-screen legal issues, Johnny Depp has since exited the franchise as silver-tongued, entrancing dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, but this weighty prequel goes all in – somewhat to its detriment – with “Potter” connections andnumerous bombshells, from debuting Jude Law as a young version of Harry’s (and also Newt’s) wise mentor Dumbledore to a mystery surrounding intensely repressed magical youngster Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller).
