Jessie Cave’s newborn son is back at home after battling coronavirus in the hospital.

The “Harry Potter” star, who played Lavender Brown in the films, updated concerned fans about her son Abraham “Bam” Benjamin’s condition on social media.

On Thursday, she wrote, “Baby is home now. Thank you for all the well wishes and messages of support. Be safe everybody ❤️ amazing care from everybody at Chelsea Westminster.”

Cave, 33, who lives in the United Kingdom, first revealed Abraham had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

Cave continued: “This strain is super powerful and contagious so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks. Really didn’t want this to be the start of my families [sic] new year. Really didn’t want to be back in a hospital so soon after his traumatic birth. Once again I’m in awe of nurses and doctors.”

Abraham was born in October and joins siblings Margot, 4, and brother Donnie, 6, whom Cave shares with her husband, Alfie Brown.

On Monday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered a national lockdown in the United Kingdom through mid-February in an effort to combat a variant of the coronavirus that is continuing to rapidly spread in the region.

“We now have a new variant of the virus and it’s been both frustrating and alarming to see the speed with which the new variant is spreading,” Johnson said in an address.

Under the rules, all schools and colleges will be closed for in-person learning. University students will not be returning until at least mid-February.

Next LEGO Art mosaics revealed as 31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests & 31202 Disney’s Mickey Mouse [News]

Today we’re getting our first look at the second wave of LEGO Art sets, thanks to European toy retailer Van Der Meulen. Expected to debut in January 2021, the pair of new sets are 31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests and 31202 Disney’s Mickey Mouse. The sets follow on the heels of the first wave of LEGO Art sets which were released in September featuring Star Wars, The Beatles, Andy Warhol, and Iron Man (which we reviewed). Like those sets, the two new mosaics include the pieces for multiple designs. The Harry Potter set has 4,249 pieces and can build each of the four Hogwarts house crests, though only one at a time. Brickset reports that four copies of the set can also be combined to create the Hogwarts crest, though we don’t have any images of that at this time. Similarly, the Mickey Mouse set has two options for either building Mickey or Minnie and we presume they can also be combined in some way. This set contains 2,658 pieces.

There’s no word on the price yet. The previous four sets each cost $120 USD and contained around 3,250 pieces, so we’ll have to see if the new sets keep the same price point with the Hogwarts one having considerably more pieces and the Disney one a lot fewer.

Don’t miss the other new sets for 2021:

Check out more details of the new mosaics below.

‘Chernobyl’ and ‘Harry Potter’ actor Paul Ritter dies at 54

LONDON – Versatile British actor Paul Ritter, whose roles ranged from a hapless suburban patriarch in sitcom “Friday Night Dinner” to a Soviet engineer who helps cause a nuclear disaster in “Chernobyl,” has died, his agent said Tuesday. He was 54 and had been suffering from a brain tumor.

A familiar face to British television viewers and theatregoers, Ritter played Martin Goodman, the eccentric father of a London Jewish family, in the acerbic but warm Channel 4 sitcom “Friday Night Dinner.”

He also played ill-fated nuclear engineer Anatoly Dyatlov in the Emmy-winning HBO drama “Chernobyl;” the wizard Eldred Worple in “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince;” and a devious political operative in the James Bond film “Quantum of Solace.”

Those who worked with Ritter in his most famous roles rated him highly. Robert Popper, the creator of “Friday Night Dinner,” said Ritter “was a lovely, wonderful human being. Kind, funny, super caring and the greatest actor I ever worked with.”

“Chernobyl” screenwriter Craig Mazin said on Twitter that Ritter was “one of the most gentle, gracious and brilliant people I’ve ever known, much less worked with. We lost him today, and far too soon. I wish his family and loved ones peace and comfort as they mourn the passing of this beautiful man.”

Ritter was a compelling stage actor, a frequent and memorable cast member in productions at Britain’s National Theatre, including “All My Sons,” “Coram Boy” and “The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time.” He also appeared in “Art” at London’s Old Vic and on a West End stage as Prime Minister John Major, performing opposite Helen Mirren’s Queen Elizabeth II in the royal drama “The Audience.”

The actor was nominated for a Tony Award in 2009 for his performance in Alan Ayckbourn’s farce “The Norman Conquests” on Broadway.

Actor Russell Tovey said Ritter was “one of the nicest and best actors you’ll ever meet.”

Actor-comedian Rob Delaney tweeted that Ritter had “knocked it out of the PARK in Chernobyl. Watching it I consciously thought, ‘Oh, we have a new movie star.’ Between that how funny he was in Friday Night Dinner… just unreal talent.”

Agency Markham, Froggatt Irwin said Ritter died Monday night “peacefully at home with his wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah by his side.”

“Paul was an exceptionally talented actor playing an enormous variety of roles on stage and screen with extraordinary skill,” the agency said. “He was fiercely intelligent, kind and very funny. We will miss him greatly.”

Rupert Grint Is Not Enthusiastic About a ‘Harry Potter’ TV Series

Like many Harry Potter fans, Rupert Grint has some concerns about the future of the Harry Potter franchise. The 32-year-old actor, who famously played Harry’s best friend, Ron Weasley, in all eight of the Harry Potter films, has some conflicting feelings about the report that a live-action TV series adaptation of the famed fantasy book series may be in the works at HBO Max.

Grint spoke about the recent reports that the franchise might be getting another reboot.

Noting that he doesn’t expect to be included if there is one, Grint told Variety, “It’ll be weird if it was a continuation kind of thing. I weirdly feel quite protective of that character. Even when I saw the stage shows [Harry Potter and the Cursed Child], it was a very strange experience. … If it’s like a different group of friends, I guess it would be interesting.”

And though he’s “quite protective” of the series, Grint also admitted that he hasn’t even seen the majority of the Blockbuster films.

“I’ve probably seen the first three at the premieres, but after that I stopped watching them,” he shared.

The one life event that could change all that? Becoming a dad! Grint welcomed baby girl named Wednesday with his girlfriend, Georgia Groome, back in May.

“Now that I have a daughter, I will probably have to watch them with her,” Grint shared.

As for the Harry Potter TV series, multiple outlets have reported that it is in the early stages of development.

ET previously reached out to HBO Max and Warner Bros. for comment, who said in a joint statement, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”

ET spoke with Grint last month about breaking social media records when he joined Instagram, his first photo being of himself holding baby Wednesday.

“I never thought I would [join Instagram]. I always said that I wouldn’t, and then I just thought, ‘It’s been such a crazy [time]. So why not?’ It’s insane,” he said, adding, “I think Wednesday actually broke the internet, personally. She gets the credit.”

‘Harry Potter’ TV Series Reportedly In Development, And Fans Are Seriously Torn

It’s currently unclear exactly how the project will go about adapting the series, which has, of course, spawned a multi-billion-dollar film franchise. Only “broad ideas have been discussed as part of the early-stage exploratory meetings,” THR reports.

Google expands Broadcast and adds more family-friendly Assistant features

If you’re a parent or often find yourself needing to wrangle a group of people in your household, Google’s latest Assistant update might be helpful. It’s expanding the Broadcast tool that was previously limited to its smart speakers and displays to iPhones and Android devices. The company also announced a set of new features for the Assistant, including stories, games, songs and a Mother’s Day surprise.

Broadcast lets you send a message to all compatible devices at once, and you can create groups to specify who you want to reach. Google allows you to set up a Family group for up to six of your relatives, and the expansion being announced today will let you reach these members on their phones too. Just as they already could from a Nest speaker or display, your contact can now reply to your message from their Android or iPhone.

Google is also improving its Family Bell feature that let you set school-bell-like alarms throughout the day. Starting today, you can have Family Bells ring across multiple devices in your home at once, instead of just one. It’s also adding support for eight new languages, including Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Italian, French, German, Portugese and Spanish.

The Assistant also provides educational content, and the company is adding to its library this week. It’s partnered with Pottermore Publishing to provide Harry Potter stories. On a smart display or Android device, you can ask the Assistant “Tell me a Quidditch story” to learn more about the fictional sport. Google says more content from the Wizarding World is coming later in the year.

In addition to fiction, the Assistant is also getting new historical content from Penguin Random House’s Who Was series. By saying “Talk to Who Was Heroes,” you can listen to stories about Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ida B. Wells, and more than 100 others. To test your knowledge after all that learning, you can also play new games like Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader on Assistant-enabled smart displays. Finally, there are also two new songs about cleaning up and brushing your teeth that Google said are meant “to help kids stay on task and do their chores.” The company also teased a Mother’s Day surprise for those who set a timer this weekend.
