Black Widow and Cruella are coming to Disney+ Premier Access the same day as limited theatrical release, as Disney once again sticks it to move theaters. Bypassing theaters entirely is Pixar’s Luca, which will be Disney+ exclusive. Theaters were useful to Disney, and now they are not. Is Disney+ the future of tentpoles like the MCU and Star Wars? Probably.
