(Athens, Greece) – George Tsirogiannis, Producer and Director, is pleased to announce the launch of the popular crowd funding campaign for the promising film “On Hold”.
“On Hold” is a short film that tells the story of a small part of the lives of four people, who get in the process of waiting for something very special to them. It essentially is a film about the people, the moments and how waiting for something means much to one’s life. As George Tsirogiannis explains “I think waiting is a vital sign. Even though being on hold can be extremely unpleasant sometimes, it also means there’s hope in you that what you’re waiting for will eventually come – and when you hope, you are alive.”
The film will be eventually released for free on the Internet when its festival cycle ends. Funding this production through Indiegogo is important, since it is the only way to make a beautiful non-commercial film without having to compromise. Contributions will cover 80% of the costs of this professional-level production, with 20% being covered from the Director.
As Mr. Tsirogiannis adds “We are making this film because its theme is evergreen and not widely discussed in cinema. We all experience this process of waiting multiple times in our lives. Also, do not forget this is a film from Greece; and even though it’s not a political or a clearly social film, we can’t help observing people waiting for a general condition, caused by the debt crisis, to change here.”
The production team has planned lucrative benefits for contributors. Contributions range from €5 (Starter’s pack) to €500 (Producer’s Pack) where participants get a ‘Special thanks’ message on Facebook, included in the film’s “Supporters” list on Facebook and enter the newsletter to get updates on the film’s progress, an early digital download of the movie, and a behind the scenes video with exclusive material, including the shooting process and production secrets. Moreover, participants, according to the level of their contribution, will get a “Thanks to” credit on the film’s end titles, a respective IMDb listing and an exclusive poster of the movie with a special ‘Thank you’ message on it, an exciting ASSOCIATE PRODUCER credit on the film and on IMDb. Purchasers of the Producer’s Pack will also have access to all production notes, storyboards, floor plans, shotlists and the huge PRODUCER credit on the film and on IMDb plus the chance to be with the team on set during the shooting.
