Academy film: Showing this weekend

Budding filmmakers will see a movie they wrote, filmed and edited, aired on the big screen at Hampton Court Palace this weekend.

The keen cinematographers learned essential skills during the summer at the Barnes Film Academy, led by the Harrodian School’s head of media studies Sam Cullis.

After a successful preview screening of their film, Big Trouble in Little Barnes, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, an official premiere will take place at Hampton Court on Sunday, September 29, at 6.30pm.

Mr Cullis said: “Lots of the children and their parents will be going along.

“We have a red carpet and a photographer so it be a proper premiere.

“It will be a really nice evening – I just hope the weather holds out.”

Guests are allowed to stay on to watch the Luna Cinema’s screening of Life of Pi which will start after the children’s film.
