Recent polls show that more than 50% of the population of Canada will regularly watch TV shows and movies online. These are impressive numbers and they are indicative of the way people around the world are getting their entertaiment. I have no doubt that the same kind of results would be shown here in the UK if the same survey was taken here. The joys of online video are something that more and more of us are set to discover and as this happens, we will see more and more people watching their movies and TV online. When it comes to watching online movies and TV, the following are a few of the reasons why people all over the globe are doing it

 

  • One of the main reasons why people love this type of entertainment is the fact that it is so portable. Picking up your favourite TV shows is possible no matter where you are provided of course that you have an internet receiving device with you. And it is not even going to be a problem if you are going to be somewhere where there is no internet because you can get past this issue by downloading the programmes before you go.

 

  • The selection of TV shows and movies available is impressive online. There is content from all around the globe and no matter what your tastes there is no excuse to ever feel bored. What I really love is the fact that I can watch a whole series of a programme and I don’t have to watch just one every week like with normal television.

 

  • I also like the fact that you have more control when it comes to watching TV shows on the internet. It is up to me when I decide to watch.

 

  • You would probably be amazed by the amount of free content that is available online these days. Some of this is pirated material, but there are also plenty of legitimate TV shows and movies that can be watched as well. My favourite is the BBC iPlayer.
