TThe Z-HD5000 presents the potential of 1080i/50Hz HD-SDI and simultaneously SD-SDI format video for studio and field HDTV and SDTV productions ensuring flexibility in the field. The camera achieves excellent high sensitivity and a low vertical smear. The RU-1000VR remote control unit is a new design of remote operation panel for the Hitachi Z-HD5000. Painstaking attention has been paid to making the most frequently used controls and capabilities directly and instantaneously accessible to the video control engineer. It is an excellent production tool that enhances any HD studio or field production. Flawless signal transmission is offered by use of digital optical fibre cables up to 3.000 meters from the CCU power supply. The complete camera system operates directly with inexpensive SM fiber installations. The Camera can be used with or without the CCU with normal provision of HD-SDI from camera head. The unit supplies a 5 inch high resolution B/W CRT (4:3) viewfinder, VF-HD500, available for EEP use and a 2 inch high resolution B/W CRT available for EFP use. Powerful featuresinclude, VF focus assist with VF area marker, focus indicator and gauge for easy shooting. Fully automatic setup using gray scale, direct data transfer from memory cards, HD signal linear masking and 12-vector colour painting separate from SD signal outputs, Flesh-tone masking and multiple memories flesh-tone detail correction settings, plus many, many more.
