Identify Your Natural Range

If you like to expand your vocal range, you first have to know where you’re beginning from. The most typical vocal scales, from highest to lowest, are: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass. Almost all women fall within the top three ranges, and almost men fall in the bottom three.

In your normal or natural tone of voice, try and sing the middle C to identify your normal vocal scale. Use a keyboard or online tuner to help you, if necessary.

Now move down the vocal scale in half-steps until you can no longer sing the low notes naturally. Go back to middle C and do again the exercise going up until you reach the highest note you can comfortably sing.

If you are a natural soprano, you can comfortably sing notes from middle C (C4) to high A (A5). An alto can easily sing notes between G3 and F5. A tenor ranges from C3 to A4. A baritone singer has a easily vocal range between notes G2 and F4. A bass range includes notes F2 through E4.

Practice Constantly

Once you’ve learned your mixed voice, or middle voice, you will be able to change more or less seamlessly up and down the scale. If it takes greater than than you’d like, don’t be bothered; some of successful recording artists are even now trying to find their ideal mixed voice.

Do These Vocal Exercises

Begin at the low end of your vocal break. Sing the note in your chest voice at a regular volume. Sing the word “whom” and think how the note vibrates in your throat.

Now sing the next highest note, also using the word “whom”. You will see the vibration move from your throat to your mouth. Move up to the next note and feel where it vibrates.

Try to maintain your volume consistent throughout the exercise. Stay throughout and just around your break range, and practice changing from your head voice back down to your chest voice.

   Pronounce What You say

   This one sounds simple, but it has hidden advantages. Starting in your normal speaking voice, speak the words, ‘One, two, three, four, five,’ like you would if you were having a communication.

   Now go up the extent in half-steps, saying the words repeatedly in your speaking voice, but at ascending pitches. Stay with your relaxed vocal range.

   This exercise lets you focus on the resonation in your chest, throat, and mouth. It also instructs you how to sing words with no sounding too harsh.

   Hum the Scale

   This second training concentrates more on the resonation produced by your singing. It lets you to feel which notes resonate in your throat and which ones resonate in your mouth and face.

   Beginning at the lower end of your range, create a humming ‘Hmmmmm’ sound. You will find that this tone resonates in the front of your throat. Now go up the range, humming
every note. You can as well hum easy songs.

   Vowel Warm Ups

   Now it’s time to warm up your words. Start by singing your range using vowel sounds. Sing up from the bottom of your range with the use of the words, ‘A E I O U’. Hold each vowel sound for a second or two, and make the overall set sound flowing and melodious.

   Sing the vowel sounds up your range and back down again for one minute. Enunciate each sound. This will instruct you to sing easily understandable words, and to keep a constant tone.

   Enunciation Exercise

   This is a more superior enunciation exercise. Enunciation is very significant for singers. After all, if your listeners can’t understand your words, they can’t thoroughly enjoy your songs!

   After finishing~doing the vowel sound warm-up, go back and do it once again with a tongue-twisting phrase. Each time you to up a half step on the range, sing the remark ‘She sells seashells by the sea shore.’

   Practice pronouncing the words thoroughly. No matter your musical style, your act will be better if you study to enunciate clearly. Bottom line, you will learn how to sing.

   Warm Up Your Body, Too

   Now that your vocal chords are warmed up and able to go, you should sing rest of your muscles to prevent tension. You can sing higher then. If your body is tighten, you risk getting tensed up your vocal chords and getting rid of sound quality.

   Stretch your arms above your head as much as you can, and then bend down and reach for your toes to stretch your back muscles. Do a few shoulder and neck rolls to ease tension in those parts.

   Bring your arms out each side and breathe in deeply to inflate your lungs. Now you’re able to sing!

Television is a fascinating thing that captures viewers over and over again. Some sitcoms have lasted for years, still remaining in the top ten viewed each week. In the original show, Cleveland Brown decides to leave Quahog, Rhode Island for a more interesting lifestyle. He and his son head to California but end up in a town in Virginia, his actual hometown. The best thing is that the characters from the original show and the spin-off will visit each other in the future.

In this new series, Cleveland rekindles an old flame. Now married to her, he and Donna live together with Cleveland Jr. And Donna’s two children. This show features an older and more obese Cleveland Jr. Than fans had ever known.

As with critics in many series and movies, there have been conflicting reviews. Many of them quite negative. But, the population seems to have a mind of their own and don’t really care what they have to say. On the other hand, there have been many good reviews. In addition to this show airing in the United States, other countries like Brazil, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Russia are currently airing it as well.

What’s important when tuning in to this show or any others like it is to take it with a grain of salt. Obviously, the humor and sexual references are not meant for young children. So, be aware of that and if you don’t want your children watching it, certainly you have options. Much like Fox’s smash hit Glee, this program is aimed at teenagers on up.

Unfortunately, parents can be misled for some reason, that if a show is animated, it is perfect for children of all ages. Not so!
