TVs Bring in Huge Crowds for Black Friday 2011

TVs have long been a popular holiday gift. Today, they come in more sizes and styles than at any other time and history. As with most electronics, the best time to buy a TV is during the Black Friday sales which occur in November and include massive markdowns on electronics as part of their biggest benefit for shoppers.

Black Friday ads from retailers lke WalMart and Best Buy often use large, extremely inexpensive TVs as a major bonus for those willing to participate in early morning, post-Thanksgiving sales. TVs are one of the most common things that Black Friday 2011 shoppers go after. Its pretty common to get a television set on Black Friday for more than 60-80% off of retail.

It’s crucial that Black Friday TV shoppers remember that televisions are one of the biggest and fastest selling items related to the event, in order to get one you have to be prepared and on time. Something that many retailers have started to do to make this simpler for consumers is hand out slips for those planning to purchase these large items, though this reduces some of the rivalry it also has some downsides. Often shoppers have to wait in long lines for the vouchers and they are first come, first serve basis. Standing in line for a voucher can often result in missing out on obtaining some of the other deals that were on your list. The best way to do this is by bringing as many people as you can along for the trip and then having them each in charge of obtaining one specific Black Friday special. When possible, it’s also smart to bring a strong person along who can quickly lift large ticket items if necessary.

Another good way to prepare is by scouring 2011 Black Friday ads to determine what the top three best deals on TVs are so that you have a backup plan. You may have to go with the second best deal if you are running late or are unable to get in on the best option for some other reason. Some shoppers even set out to get the second best deal available as part of their shopping strategy.

Free Movies Online Is Better Than Downloading

These days we can choose to either watch our favourite movies over the internet or download them directly onto our computers. I actually use both options but I do prefer one over the other. I really only ever choose to download the movie if it is one that I want to keep a copy of because it is so good and lets be honest, these days that doesn’t happen very often. As you might have gathered I prefer to watch movies online instead of downloading and here are a few reasons why.

  • Downloading can be annoyingly slow. Sometimes it can even take up to twenty four hours for a movie to download fully. There are many times when I decide that I want to watch a movie there and then and waiting around for it to download is not an option. However, with online movies, I can watch them as and when I want to.

  • Another thing that I like about online movies is that they don’t take up a lot of room on my hard drive. My hard drive is already packed with stuff and when I want to download something it can be a huge hassle. I often spend a lot of time trying to figure out ways to make room on my computer before downloading new movies and this can be a nightmare.

  • One of the annoying things about downloading films is that I just tend to leave them there taking up room on my computer. I hardly ever watch these movies again but I always leave them there just in case. However I have no such battle with my tendency to hoard when I watch movies online.

  • One of the other reasons why I like watching online movies is that as well as being able to watch movies whenever I want, I can also watch as many as I want. I could stay up for hours watching one move after another if I want.

The net has opened our lives to numerous wonderful things. We could shop, you can send e-mail, we could research more information – and much more. Probably the most favourite thing to do though is watch TV shows online.

The opportunity to watch movies online has been a real game changer. Nowadays there is just no excuse for boredom especially if you are a bit of a film buff. We can now watch movies 24 hours a day and a lot of this content is completely free. Getting to watch movies online is not a complicated thing to do; it is as easy as falling off a log. However, no matter how easy it is, people tend to make a number of common mistakes when it comes to watching movies online. Below are a few examples of these mistakes.

  • Trying to watch movies online with a poor internet connection is one of the mistakes that people often make. It can be very annoying to try and watch a movie when it just keeps stopping all the time. If you find that you are in this position then you really should consider an upgrade of your internet connection.

  • One of the other really common mistakes that people make is to leave too many programs running in the background while they are trying to watch a film. If you leave these programs running then your CPU may be working too hard and could cause the movie to crash. It would be much better to shut down these applications unless of course, you really need them.

  • When it comes to enjoying a movie, sound quality is extremely important. If the sound is good on a movie then you can still enjoy it even if the picture is not great but the opposite is not true. If you are only relying on your computer speakers then you might be putting up with poor quality. It is therefore advisable that you invest in some nice speakers.

  • Be very careful about the websites you visit to watch online movies. Not only will the movies on some of these sites be very poor quality, the real aim may be to spread a virus to your computer.

We are fortunate to be able to take pleasure in so many things because of the advent of the web. We could shop, you can send electronic mails, we could research more information – and much more. Probably the most favourite thing to do though is watch TV shows online.

7 Quick Tips for Shooting Better Video

By  in October 30th 2011   No Comment »
Filed Under Movie Blog     Tags: , , ,

Below are some of the key things to remember to make your future camcorder video shoot go off without a hitch.

Camcorders are excellent devices, but it can be frustrating to watch a poorly made camcorder video. Keep these tips in mind for your future shoot:

Do Not Zoom A Lot
Using the zoom too much will make your video look silly, and it can even make your viewers dizzy! Who needs that? Use zoom in a slow and steady manner and don’t use it too much. And digital zoom does not give you the similar video quality as optical zoom so do not use it a lot either.

Be sure to Frame Your Shots
The frame should be full of your subject. Placing the subject off center could be a good thing, as well. If you were filming your children at a pool while swimming, it would be best to film the kids talking, swimming and laughing with them in the left or right of the frame, not in the center. It produces more visual interest.

Do Not Overuse Wide Shots
A wide shot of the place is good to set the scene, but that’s enough. You might want to shoot more details. Focus on the details of an active street, such as the hot dog vendor or perhaps the guy selling flowers, not just a wide shot of a busy street.

Shoot from Different Points
Do not shoot the track meet entirely from the bleachers. You want to walk around the track and shoot from a number of angles and vantage points. Furthermore, it might be good to be on the same level as the subject. Kneel down to your kids’ level once they slide into home plate, do not shoot down at them.

Do Not Backlight
You may be able to see the subject’s face in the viewfinder when she is back lit, however it probably will not be a good shot. This means you end up lacking facial expressions and other details.

Record Key Moments
If you are going to use editing software, feel free to shoot every second of the play. But if not, you will want to only shoot the key moments. Nobody wants to watch the entire 60 minute play on video.

Keep the Special Effects Down
Only because your expensive camera has tons of cool effects doesn’t mean you need to use them all on your video. It really takes away from the subject matter of your videos to have too many special effects.
