My dad is awesome . He is definitely one of the best men I know. As a child, I tended to look to him for advice and friendship . My mom and I are much nearer now than we were when I was a child, because I was I thought my dad was the best . Anyway, it was his birthday last weekend and he turned 62 year old! Can you believe it?! I can hardly believe that my parents are in their sixties now because they both act and look so young. Everyone who knows them would agree with me too. I’m not just being completing, it’s the truth!
My dad is earining a doctorate degree in education , so he was working on a project for that on most of his birthday . He didn’t get home until approximately 8pm, after we had already eaten his birthday dinner lol. He had told us to go onward and eat, so it was fine . As soon as he entered the door we ushered him straight to the living room to open up his presents. My dad doesn’t like cake, so we gave him birthday brownies instead .
Anyway , the gifts we got him this year were cool. He really loved them. I got a High Sierra bag that he’s been wanting forever, my brother got him some of these with “Dr.” and his name on them, and my sister sent him one of those coupon wallets (my dad is a huge bargain shopper). We also got him some books he’s been wanting, and my mom got him some apparel and a complete set of Ally McBeal dvd’s. He’s so lucky his birthday is so close to Father’s Day because we get to celebrate him again in a month. Some people would consider that to be unlucky because it means that you might get less presents, but that’s not the case with my family. We love Dad!
