Ever since I was a young boy, I have always been interested in literature. I would sit inside and read a book or two here and there amongst my outdoor adventures. I would say that I had a healthy balance between both world. When I was inside I would read books, letting my imagination fill in the background, the characters, and the drama, since the author had already crafted the structure of this wonderful world I was reading about, and allowed me to color and flavor it as I saw fit. That’s when I knew how much I liked writing and even aspired to be an author. As for when I was outside, playing with friends, I would often find myself day dreaming, building my own world and creations. Being a super hero one moment, capable of bending still and stopping bullets, to swimming under sea with the sea life, who neither were scared of me, and meant no harm. This is when I realized I loved graphics. The ability to take what I see within my mind and share it with the world, to share a gift I have been given. That’s why I went to graphic design school. I started off by learning how to make magnetic signs, signs and banners, and vehicle signs to practice on.  I also majored in English literature. You might ask yourself, “What would someone do with an English Ligature degree and a background in graphic design?!” Well, the simple fact is, that I now have the desire, goal, and talents to both write, and create the story, giving myself the ultimate reign to fully express myself, without worrying about how it might be influenced elsewhere. It truly is a very appealing thought for anyone who has ever been censored or looked down upon for anything they have tried to create, not out of malice, but out of pure artist ability and beauty. To express the soul is the true goal on any artist, so never give up. To anyone reading this, never give up!
