Because many young people spend a lot of their time on the web, you will often hear them saying that television is dead. At the end of the day, with so many possibilities on the web, who really needs television? These days you can watch a lot of programmes online from all around the world and you are not attached to any type of schedule. There are even a number of shows which can only be watched online which is quite exciting. And the fact that it is not expensive to make online shows, means that just about anyone could make one. It is now not only possible to watch shows on the internet but to also make them and be the star of them too if we want.

It would probably be a bit premature to right off television altogether though. Those responsible for television technology have not been sitting around while the internet takes over; instead they have been improving their game and offering us a lot more. As long as we can access High Definition television and the amount of channels that we have at the moment it is unlikely that people won’t want to continue watching their TVs. There are a huge number of people who will be watching the television while they are surfing the internet. And watching television is still preferable for many people who don’t actually like spending a lot of time on the internet. We really can’t predict what is going to happen ten or twenty years down the road but we can rest assured that television is not going anywhere at the moment. It is actually more likely that the world of television and online shows will probably become closer than ever. Things like Google TV will likely mean that in the future watching TV will be a far more interactive experience.
