HD ready 32″ Samsung TV , low price, high quality .
The picture quality on the LE32B450 is good , this being despite the entry level B450. Colors are well balanced, and the image is sharp enough for gamers on their next gen consoles , plus there’s zero of that old blue tint.
This Samsung has the improved “Wide Color Enhancer 2” technology, which stops all those nasty weak greens and blues ruining the RGB . It uses upto 16 bits of color depth, which corresponds to 280 trillion colors . A nice high contrast ratio helps give the LE32b450 decent depth of image and subtle shading.
Its standard res of 1366 x 768 hinders it from showing 1080 picture with the type of sharp crispness that you might see on other full HD TVs . Not really an issue though , especially since our eyes can’t really tell unless you sit directly in front of it .
The TV shows basic definition content better than other 32-inch LCDs , and the scaling up quality is good , catching the sharp detail either off air or from dvds. You don’t see jagged edges in video based material , and no noticeable digital noise.
Excellent black level presentation and standard def handling, but no 100Hz technology or full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution . Hardly a problem though, as the price is so low .
The Samsung LE32B450 works great with the 1080p/24 video signal games consoles, and the built-in SRS Tru-Surround system gives audio performance which is perfectly acceptable for most uses , therefore saving on the expense of a home cinema system. The speakers are well hidden and have indirect firing ability which makes for a spacious sound.
The B450 comes with many connections such as Scart and HDMI , It appears the only thing it’s missing is a headphones jack.
The set up is a simple process , with the TV going from in its box to up and ready within about 10 minutes. Once everything is connected and turned on there is a welcome message and a wizard to take you through the usual settings.
The look of this TV is a stylsh one with piano black finish letting it look good anywhere in the house .
